VIT

Welcome to the Pathway Programs module Logistics and Supply Chain Context and Operations.

Organisations choose to compete in different ways. An organisation’s strategy defines how it will compete in the marketplace—in its own best way. Strategy formulation involves defining the primary task, assessing core competencies, determining order winners and order qualifiers, and positioning the organisation.

This module will focus on the different quantitative and qualitative tools available for making decisions under uncertain conditions

In this module, we will cover:

  • Key characteristics and management strategies of the modern supply chain.
  • The role of information technology in supply chains, and the need for supply chain integration.
  • The SCOR model and calculate key performance indicators for monitoring supply chain performance.
